Alliance for Community Peace
The Alliance for Community Peace is a non – profit , faith-based organization offering structured activities and opportunities for at risk children and youth to: improve academic performance: build self esteem and confidence; enhance social, personal, interaction and decision making skills through supervised learning activities: and develop meaningful work experience leading to success in adulthood.
ACP partners with organizations that assist adults in continuing and/or completing their education (GED or college); computer training; employment skill building and faith-based financial literacy. Youth are introduced to savings at the third grade level.
It takes a team to make sure our agency is reaching out to as many communities as it can so children everywhere have access to our services. We're fortunate to have some of the best dedicating their time, energy, and expertise to our cause.
Provides positive reinforcement for youth by offering after school tutoring, homework assistance, and computer training. Incentives are given for improved performance in academics and school attendance
Recreation, Sport, Cultural, and Artistic Activities Provides forums and opportunities through group sessions and collaborations with Chicago Park District; Chicago Police Department; Chicago Department of Youth Services; and the Chicago Public Schools.
