About the Program

  • -Alliance for Community Peace (ACP) operates year round.
  • -ACP offers academic assistance, mentoring services, computer training, recreation and sports, cultural & artistic activities, and life skills education.
  • -ACP offers After School Readers, a technology based literacy program for children in grades K-6.
  • -ACP offers workshops covering: self-esteem, teen/peer initiatives, leadership development, entrepreneurial and community involvement projects, conflict resolution, substance abuse intervention/prevention, and college & career opportunities.
  • -Employees & staff participate in the physical safety and building of community values with children and their parents.
  • -ACP also offers educational, enrichment, and employment programs for the residents of the area, a matching savings program for adults; a mentoring program for adults and families; and a financial literacy program for staff and community residents.
  • -On a daily basis over 170 students participate in the after school program
  • -ACP accepts all students ranging from 5-18 years old.
  • -ACP is a 501c3 organization
