"Care About Me" is a breast cancer awareness initiative that focuses on educating both women and men on breast cancer facts, treatment options, preventions, and support groups.

HIV/AIDS "Community of Color Initiative"/Illinois Department of Public Health

To increase HIV/AIDS awareness, provide education and preventative methods among African Americans within our communities to fight against HIV/AIDS. ACP efforts will focus on: What you should know about HIV/AIDS, testing, monitoring, diagnosis and treatment? Women, men, and teenagers in the community will have access to outreach, education, and screening for HIV/AIDS.

IDOT TEEN ALIVE INJURY PREVENTION/Illinois Department of Transportation

The goal is to educate and teach youths to drive smart, drive safe, and stay alive. To reach at least 1,500 youths through workshop and presentations to educate and train you and peer mentors to carry the message of teen safety (speeding, drinking and driving, seat belt usage).

Youth Department

Chicago Department of Family & Support Services (CDFSS) & Chicago Area Project (CAP)/Senator Mattie Hunter-ACP After School Program

 

Provides mentoring, tutoring, homework assistance, sports activities for 175 youth 5-18 years of age

UCAN Teen Reach

Real Talk will offer programming for youth in the five core service areas, with an emphasis on creativity and music writing/production

Chicago Bar Foundation/Lend-A-Hand Mentoring

One on one mentoring program for youth within the after school program to increase literacy and promote creative ways of learning for youth.

Chicago Public Schools/Truancy Initiative

To reduce absenteeism and truancy amongst youth attending elementary and high schools in the near north area.

Project Reclaim/Project Safe Neighborhoods-States Attorney Office

A youth diversion program to encourage youth by providing positive mentoring experience.

Family Department

Heartland Alliance

A joint-partnership with the Service connection to provide assistance and 'wrap-around' services to low-income families in the Cabrini Green Area.
